What is Helping Hands for?
Helping Hands is the benevolence fund of Friends Church. This fund is to help and assist the body of Christ who call Friends Church home and are actively involved in the community of Friends Church through worship services, small groups, and serving. We believe that it is the responsibility of the local church to support these committed attendees when there is hardship (Act 2:41-47). This support can come through resource information, budget coaching, and financial aid. It is the commitment of the Helping Hands Leadership to not give a hand out but a hand up. This is done confidentially through an application process, personal accountability, and personal coaching in financial issues. The Helping Hands Leadership through Care Ministry is made up of godly spiritual leaders who have a background in finances.
When should I give to Helping Hands?
Helping Hands budget is not taken out of the general giving to Friends Church; it is supported through sacrificial offerings given over your normal tithes. It is an offering of thankfulness to the Lord for all His provisions in your life.
