What would it look like for us to be as passionate for God as people are for sports events and concerts? What if we were as passionate to tell others about Jesus as people are to talk up our favorite athlete? What if we were as dedicated to living for God as people are to living for other interests?
In our new series, “Raving Fans,” we’re going to look like what it means to be “more than a crowd.” In this 9-week study through 1 Thessalonians, we’re going to discover a group of people who were more than fans—they were “raving” fans—of their faith. They proclaimed God through Word and deed and this led them to have an impact far beyond the “walls” of the church—and see lives changed radically as a result.
It is our hope by studying their example, and learning the same lessons that they learned, we will have a similar impact ourselves, and be known as a community that is passionate to tell others about a God who is worth “raving” about.
